About Me
Hello! My name is Syn, and I am currently a law student at UCL. As a student, I understand the challenges that come with academic rigor and hope to help you achieve your fullest potential.
I specialize in teaching the LNAT, IB English, Biology, and Mandarin. As someone who grew up bilingual in both English and Mandarin, I am proficient in both languages and can confidently help you improve your language skills.
My academic achievements include obtaining a score of 42/45 for my IB and a score of 33 for the LNAT, which led to multiple offers for a law degree at prestigious universities.
I have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and have enjoyed watching them achieve their potential. I strive to make learning fun and engaging, ensuring that each session is tailored to your unique learning style and goals.
My approachable and patient nature makes me easy to work with, and I am always willing to go the extra mile to help my students succeed. If you are looking for a dedicated tutor who is passionate about helping you reach your full potential, then look no further! Let’s work together to achieve your academic goals. 🙂
My teaching style
As a tutor, my teaching style is focused on creating an engaging and interactive learning environment. I believe in a student-centered approach where I encourage students to take an active role in their own learning. I strive to identify the unique learning style of each student and adapt my teaching approach accordingly. I incorporate various teaching methods such as visual aids, hands-on practices and discussions to make the subject matter more relatable and understandable. I aim to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as I believe these are essential skills for academic success and personal growth.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements is my volunteer work in teaching underprivileged children after school. This experience was incredibly fulfilling and gave me a sense of purpose. Seeing the children’s enthusiasm for learning and their gradual improvements was incredibly heartwarming and encouraged me to continue tutoring and giving back to my community. I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these children, and I remain proud to be a part of their educational journey.
