About Me
Hi, I’m Diya a third year medical student at Cardiff University. As someone who has been through the UCAT and interview process I know how daunting it can be. I am dedicated to supporting your journey to medical school in any way that I can. I would love to show you all the things that I learnt along my application process which helped me succeed. I believe in working with my students in a team as opposed to simply teaching them information that can often be very overwhelming. I assure you that together we will prepare you to show medical schools your best.
I help my students with their interview technique and answering questions, via help with my personal notes that I made during my interview period. Sharing my interview tips to impress universities, to do and not to do advice, wales specific interview topics for students applying to Cardiff university. Help with the roles and responsibilities form as someone who secured an offer from Manchester university.
The pressure and uncertainty of navigating through you A-levels/IB diploma as well as having to apply to universities, can be a very daunting experience. As someone who achieved top grades in psychology, french, biology and economics subjects all whilst applying to getting into my selected universities I know that I can help you achieve the same.
My experience studying in a bilingual english and french school makes me a great tutor for french tutoring to english speaking students, as i’m able to use aspects of both languages to ensure that students see drastic improvements in their french language skills.
As someone who received an award for the best psychology student in my graduating year, I can help you critically analyse, evaluate and learn the biological, cognitive and sociocultural case studies needed to succeed in your psychology exams.
The medical student in me has succeeded in being able to explain concepts in biology that students often struggle with in a way that they can retain them and excel at their exams. With emphasis on practice questions, note taking, incorporating flash cards and building study routine habits that help students succeed when they start university.
My biggest advice would be to never lose sight of your motivation study this degree as this is going to help you push through on the hardest of days and to always be your biggest supporter. Never doubt yourself, we’re all vouching for you.
My teaching style
I believe that open-communication and an understanding of my students learning styles is a very important aspect of my teaching. I like to incorporate different teaching styles depending on whether my students are visual or auditory learners, as I believe that catering to your specific teaching needs leads to the best outcomes in understanding information.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement has been getting all 4 medical school interviews and receiving 3 offers from these universities. Moreover, I have also achieved being in the top 20% of my medical school cohort which has also been a big achievement.
