About Me
Hi everyone, I am a 4th year Medic at Imperial College London. I appreciate how stressful exams can be and I know how difficult it can be to learn in a school environment hence I am passionate about tutoring tailored to the student. Medicine can be a difficult subject to get into, especially if you don’t know anyone in the profession. I’m have a drive to erase that gap and give every student the ability to achieve their full potential. I give interview and application help, as well as specific coaching for exams like the UCAT.
I feel exam questions are the most effective way to improve your subject knowledge hence I push this a lot. In this way, you become comfortable answering questions in a no-pressure environment, meaning by the time you get to the exam or interview, you are fully prepared for whatever comes your way!
My teaching style
I typically provide hour long lessons, which are directed by the student, ie if you want to cover a topic, let me know and I will prep it. I spend the first 10 minutes reviewing past material from the lesson before, the next 30 going through the next topic and the last 20 minutes practicing exam questions. I like to have a structure and a focus, but I create an environment that allows students to ask anything they need, or anything they might be struggling with, whether related to the subject we are discussing or not. I am very flexible and can work together with you to find the best style of teaching for you.
My past experience
I have been tutoring for the past 4 years, helping students achieve As and A*s in their A-levels allowing them to get their place in their university of choice.
My Proudest Achievements
I am very proud of all my past students. They range from achieving A*s in A-level Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology to improving 4 grades and achieving a 6 in GCSE maths. I’ve taught a range of students from a range of backgrounds and all have left me saying they actually began to enjoy their subject and learning. I can honestly say this feeling is more rewarding than results.
