About Me
I’m Emily and I study PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) at Oxford. I am currently 19 years old and in my second year of university.
I’ve been tutoring for over 2.5 years now and love helping people to enjoy their learning the same way that I do, and to help them achieve their academic goals, by reaching their full potential.
I have worked with students ranging from the ages of 4 to 18 – helping with a variety of subjects, whether this be for GCSE / Alevel qualifications, university applications and interviews, or help with improving skills before exam years (e.g, KS3).
The children I have worked with have ranged in their subject abilities. Some were struggling with their subject and needed help with the core skills and curriculum, while others were extremely confident and needed pushing beyond the work that their school provided. As a result of this, I am able to adapt my tutoring approach to suit the specific students needs.
My teaching style
My teaching style entirely depends on the specific student, their preferences and the subject of tutoring. I like to adapt my approach student by student to ensure the tutorials fulfil their specific needs.
My past experience
I have been tutoring for over 2.5 years now.
My Proudest Achievements
My Proudest achievement would have to be getting into Oxford to study PPE, as this is something I worked very hard for throughout my time at school.
