About Me
Hi! I’m Atiqah, a proud University of Malaya MSc graduate with a strong passion for learning, critical thinking, and applying knowledge in practical ways. My time at UM not only built my academic foundation but also shaped my curiosity, resilience, and love for understanding how complex ideas connect. As your guide, you can expect a learning environment that is engaging, supportive, and focused on real understanding. Beyond traditional mnemonics, I share tips and tricks to remember information effectively, helping you retain knowledge in ways that feel natural and practical. I emphasize critical thinking, self-reflection, and problem-solving so you can apply what you learn both in exams and real-life contexts. My teaching style
My teaching style is visual, interactive, and student-centered. I use videos, images, and visual media to make abstract concepts tangible and memorable. I go beyond rote memorization and traditional mnemonics, offering practical tips, tricks, and strategies to help learners retain and apply knowledge effectively. I balance structure with flexibility, adapting my approach to each learner’s pace and style, making sessions engaging, meaningful, and fun.
My past experience
I have a long history of tutoring, starting with peer tutoring during my high school years, continuing through university, and extending into post-graduate studies. Over time, I have expanded my experience to online, onsite, and home tuition through multiple agencies, working with learners of diverse ages and abilities.
My Proudest Achievements
I am most proud of helping students overcome learning challenges and achieve academic success. Some wish to return tutoring with me after passing an exam, trusting me to guide them further. I’m proud of helping students overcome confusion with tricky concepts, like distinguishing ureter from urethra, and guiding them to explain their reasoning in complex chemistry questions. I’ve successfully used interactive tools to engage students with low motivation, who was attending the sessions because their parents wished. Seeing students gain clarity, build confidence, and succeed academically is what I value most.
