Hi! My name is Alice, and I am about to graduate from the University of Cambridge.
I have over 3 years of tutoring experience, during which time I have helped over 40 students improve their GCSE and A-Level grades. I have a great track record and love helping students reach their full potential. My approach to tutoring is all about helping you feel confident and tackling exams as a whole – they’re scary things, but I know how to break them down, whilst teaching you tips and tricks to ensure you succeed.
Next year, I will be beginning my PGCE course in order to become a specialist GCSE English teacher in a UK secondary school. My teaching style
English exams often feel confusing, and the questions sometimes feel unclear. On top of that, there’s sp much ton learn, even more to read, and so many quotes to memorise! My tutoring style is all about taking each of these challenges, and breaking them down.
We can look at exam board’s mark schemes, past examples, and plenty of other resources to help you feel more confident.
With all that in mind, it’s also really important to me that you feel confident and enthusiastic going into your exams, whether English is your favourite subject, or the one you dread the most.
My past experience
I have over 3 years of tuition experience, during which time I have spent over 650 hours helping over 40 students. I know the GCSE exam boards like the back of my hand, so whatever texts you’re doing, or whatever exam board, I will have tutored it before! As such, I know all the tips and tricks, and will be able to let you in on some insider secrets the examiners wish you knew.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is definitely securing my place at the University of Cambridge! I love learning and hope I can help you find a passion for English as well. Or, at least help you get the grade you want/ need.
