Shintaro
About Me
Hi, my name is Shintaro Nishijo I am currently a 5th-year medical student at UCL, and I have an international background having grown up in Japan, Germany, USA, and the UK. My diverse experiences have taught me that effective teaching requires a flexible approach that meets each student’s unique needs.
With a strong academic background, including 6 A*s at A-level and being the top achiever in my year group at UCL last year, I have developed a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed academically. Mathematics is my greatest strength, and I have a particular affinity for logical thinking and analysis.
As a tutor, I believe that problem-solving and practice are essential to mastering any subject. My approach is to provide feedback, build student-specific strategies, and show how to avoid repeating the same mistakes. I will adjust my teaching style to meet my student’s needs and work with them to develop a personalized plan that maximizes their strengths and addresses their weaknesses.
In my free time, I enjoy steel bending, calisthenics, and learning languages. My experience of being self-taught has helped me develop expertise in the art of learning, which I use to help my students excel in their academics/university application.
If you’re looking for a tutor who is passionate, experienced, and dedicated to helping you succeed, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
My teaching style
I believe that problem-solving and practice are the keys to successful learning. However, I understand that every student has their unique learning style and pace. Therefore, I strive to provide individualized feedback, develop student-specific strategies, and demonstrate how to avoid repeating mistakes.
I understand that effective teaching requires flexibility and an ability to adapt to each student’s needs. As a result, I adjust my teaching style to meet each student’s learning style, pace, and strengths, ensuring that they feel confident and motivated throughout the learning process.
I look forward to working with you and providing the support you need to succeed!
