Sanad
About Me
Hello, I am Sanad, a first-year medical student at Newcastle University. Alongside my studies, I work as a student ambassador and have 200+ hours of tutoring experience, helping students with A-Levels, Interviews, UCAT and GCSEs. My strong academic record – which you can see on my profile – comes from consistency, focus and finding smart ways to learn, and that’s exactly what I teach my students too.
I like to keep sessions clear and engaging, with a mix of structure and flexibility that actually makes learning stick. I focus on helping students understand concepts thoroughly, stay confident under stressful environments, and use strategies that give real results in exams and interviews. Along the way, I share the techniques and approaches that helped me stand out – insights that are gained through personal experiences not textbooks or mark schemes.
To sum it all up, I am a friendly, kind and knowledgeable tutor who has the expertise and personality to grow you into a top-tier competitive medical applicant – while also trying to relieve the stress and tediousness of the admissions cycles and exams.
My teaching style
My teaching style is quite flexible as to what individual students require and request from me. What I find works best is that: is to start by directly helping to build a solid foundation of knowledge with an open question-friendly approach and then allow my students to flourish and push themselves further under my mentorship – practising with them and finding ways to perfect their skills.
My past experience
In the last two years, I worked in a part-time professional role as an Academic Support Assistant for more than 200 hours, where I was fortunate enough to teach a wide variety of students 1 to 1. I am super proud of my former students and their achievements and have an intrinsic talent for being both a mentor and a mentee.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements are all the experiences I have in the field of medicine so far – from my academics to scrubbing in to watch a brain surgery to getting my offer to appreciating each day at Newcastle. It motivates me every day to study hard and be the best doctor I can be!
