Namrata
About Me
Hi! My name is Namrata Aravindan and I’m a second year medical student at the University of East Anglia. I recently completed my A-Levels last year in 2023 where I achieved 3A* in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. I also achieved all 9s in GCSEs in 2021. During secondary school I have been a mentor for Biology, Chemistry, Maths and languages and I have also worked as an assistant in an 11 plus tuition centre helping students with VR, NVR, maths and English.
I have been able to help students understand topics which they were previously unsure about by methodically going through topics, giving them opportunities to ask questions and then giving them practice questions to test how much they have understood and to identify any gaps in their knowledge.
I have had experience tutoring younger pupils in my secondary school, as a subject mentor for biology, chemistry, maths and languages. I have also done online chemistry A-Level tutoring to year 12 pupils and have had experience tutoring 11 plus classes for their private and grammar school entrance exams.
My teaching style
The feedback I have received have always been positive and I tailor my sessions to the exams’ need. I aim to ensure that all students engage in a way that’s beneficial to them whilst also making sure they are comfortable with the content being taught. I enjoy tutoring as there’s an opportunity to give back to the younger community and help students who are struggling and it’s really rewarding to see students progress over time and I’m very grateful to play even a small role in that. I put the students’ needs first whilst also helping them to succeed with their tasks.
My Proudest Achievements
I have had several memorable achievements during my school years and in my university – some of my proudest achievements include achieving all 9s and all A* at GCSE and A-Level, whilst also receiving the highest mark in one of my 1st year OSCE exams and achieving a Distinction in my end of year OSCE. I have also felt proud of my achievements of getting a merit in my Grade 8 piano and achieving distinctions in all my dance exams.
