About Me

Hello! My name is Shweta Madhu and I’m a final year international medical student at the University of Nottingham with special interests in Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine & Medical Education. Over the last few years, I’ve used skills honed through various lauded research, academic and editorial placements to mentor students in their application to medical school. From the entrance exams to the interviews, I’ve helped dozens of students gain entry into schools across the country. With 4+ years of experience and a very high success rate, I hope to make the application process a little bit easier for you.

Services offered: personal statement reviews (regardless of degree) and tutoring in the UCAT entrance exam, medical school interviews, IB Biology and IB English Literature. Please note that for the two IB subjects, I did both myself at the higher level.

Experience: 1+ year with Medic Mind, 4+ years previously; over 35 students successfully mentored.

My teaching style

My preferred teaching style is to customize lessons based off of your strengths and weaknesses and then work in a cooperative manner to improve over time. I am flexible and focussed on getting results whilst also striving to help find sustainable self-revision methods outside of our sessions.

My Proudest Achievements

I was elected to represent my university at the BMA National Conference. I also secured a prestigious research placement at the reputable National Cancer Centre in Singapore. I’ve been part of a global collaborative research team based at Oxford University during COVID-19. Finally, I’ve been published across several media over 40 times, since the age of 8.
