I am deeply committed to helping you reach your full potential, believing that with the right guidance and support, you can succeed. With my extensive qualifications in the arts and humanities, I specialise in arts dissertations, PhD-level film and photography, arts theory, and IB film, and analytical essay writing. My focus is on Art Film and Women’s Filmmaking, areas where we explore cultural, historical, and gendered representations in cinema. As both an academic and arts practitioner, I bridge theory and practice, offering you personalised guidance to strengthen your critical thinking, creativity, and academic writing skills. I’m passionate about empowering you to excel and discover your unique voice. I understand the pressures in modern education and the need for an individual approach that demonstrates your unique strengths. I am dedicated to helping you reach your full potential and getting you the excellent grades you deserve.
My teaching style
My teaching style is all about developing students creative responses and giving them to tools they can apply to any subject. I love to see students develop subject knowledge and I help them build a solid foundation on which to build their further subject knowledge.
My past experience
I have been teaching in applied arts and theory for over 20 years. I currently teach IB HL/SL Film, A Level Media Studies, GCSE Media Studies. I have taught BA (Hons) Photography, MA Photography and MA Creative Practice.
My Proudest Achievements
Gaining my PhD is my proudest academic achievement and my proudest personal achievement is raising my son.
