About Me

Hello, my name is Ian!

I’m currently a 3rd-year veterinary student in the Graduate Entry Programme at the University of Edinburgh. Before this, I completed a Nursing Degree at the National University of Singapore, which has given me a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and physiology. I love breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

Outside of my studies, I’m an active member of the University of Edinburgh’s Men’s 1st Fencing Team. I also enjoy exploring Edinburgh’s stunning architecture and capturing its beauty through photography. Additionally, I volunteer with All4Paws, a student-run charity that provides free veterinary care to vulnerably housed clients and their pets.

I am excited to bring my academic expertise, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm to tutoring, and I look forward to helping students achieve their learning goals!

My teaching style

My goal as a tutor is to make learning engaging, personalized, and confidence-boosting. Whether you need help mastering a tricky concept or preparing for an interview, I’m here to support you every step of the way!

I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your academic goals. Let’s make learning fun and rewarding!

My past experience

I’ve had tutoring experience in Singapore, where I helped my students achieve significant academic progress. Under my guidance, they successfully transitioned from the normal stream to the express stream, demonstrating both their hard work and the effectiveness of my teaching approach.

My Proudest Achievements

One of my proudest achievements is my involvement with All4Paws. Through this initiative, I’ve had the opportunity to apply my veterinary knowledge in a real-world setting while making a meaningful impact on both animals and their owners.
