Experienced tutor with 10 years’ tutoring experience, teaching students aged 7 to university level. Currently an AI & Data Science Consultant with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London. I specialise in Maths, Further Maths, Programming, Logic, Physics, Chemistry and Science across Primary, Secondary, GCSE, A-Level, University and Entrance Exams. I am fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
I have always loved problem-solving and enjoy applying concepts to real-life, hands-on situations. In my sessions, I not only teach students how to solve problems but focus on explaining the why behind every solution to develop true understanding. I believe that lasting learning comes from building curiosity and resilience — I always remind my students that with the right mindset, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. My approach is highly interactive; I prefer tackling complex concepts through practical examples and step-by-step breakdowns to help students absorb information naturally and confidently.
Alongside my academic work, I am an avid badminton player and coach, and I carry that energy into my teaching by making learning an engaging, fun experience, helping students grow both academically and personally.
My teaching style
My teaching style is built around personalising the learning experience to suit each student’s unique needs. I believe students perform best when they feel confident, supported, and able to engage openly. I focus on building strong foundations in problem-solving, critical thinking, and understanding concepts deeply, rather than relying on rote memorisation. I encourage questions, mistakes, and discussions, as they are essential for learning. With over 10 years of tutoring experience and industry experience, I aim to make subjects like Maths, Science, and Programming both accessible and relevant to real life problems. I adapt my teaching pace and methods based on the student’s learning style and academic goals, whether they are preparing for entrance exams, GCSEs, A-Levels, or university studies. I also work closely with parents to provide feedback and ensure consistent progress. Being multilingual in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese allows me to connect effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. Above all, I aim to cultivate not only academic success but also confidence and curiosity that students carry with them beyond the classroom.

I have successfully helped students improve their academic performance, particularly in preparing for exams such as GCSEs, A-Levels, and university entrance tests. Many of my students have gone on to secure places at top universities worldwide, including Cambridge University, the University of Bristol, and the University of Melbourne.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements was helping a student gain admission into Cambridge University for undergraduate studies. I supported them with intensive revision in Further Maths and Physics, building both their subject mastery and exam confidence.
