Hi,
My name is Aleksandra and I’ve just finished my 1st year of medicine at the university of Cambridge.I’m a friendly and approachable tutor and having recently been through the admissions process and A-levels myself I understand how stressful this can be. I hope to be able to pass on the skills,tips and tricks I have learnt during my academic journey to help you achieve your goals. I hope to be able to help with time saving strategies for the UCAT and BMAT as well as GCSE and A-level exam technique. I also have experience of both MMI, panel and Oxbridge interview styles and give constructive feedback to help you improve your answers.I also have experience volunteering as a mentor to help students with their university admissions focusing mainly on interview practice.I am a very patient tutor who aims to structure the lesson to match your needs. I hope I can help!
My teaching style
Before starting tutoring I aim to discuss your current progress so far-what goals you have and any areas of weakness you may have/topics you would like to cover. I then go over the theory related to those topics including any tips/time saving techniques I have. We can then go through some practice questions together to practice applying the techniques taught. At the end of the session I think it’s important to reflect on the session and plan what the next session should be on. I try to make the lessons very interactive and answer any questions the student may have.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements was getting into medical school as this has been a dream of mine and it required lots of hard-work and determination. I am also very proud of non-academic achievements like achieving my black belt in Karate.
