About Me
Hello, my name is Leah and I am a graduate entry medical student. I am in my 2nd year graduate entry medicine at Sheffield medical school!
I previously studied BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science (specialising in neuroscience) in Southampton.
I then worked for 2 years in laboratories in Manchester after graduating. This is when I became interested in applying for medicine to get a more patient facing career, which I thought would be more rewarding.
I achieved A*A*A* at A-level in Biology, Chemistry and Health & Social Care. I also sat the UCAT for my medicine applications.
I am particularly passionate about widening access to medicine for those from different backgrounds, as well as students with disabilities and can provide insight into this too 🙂
Please feel free to reach out with any queries or questions, and I’d be happy to help!
My teaching style
I am passionate about adapting to the student’s needs, and having interactive sessions, whereby the student remains very engaged in the content. I’m happy to tailor sessions and adapt content as needed and welcome feedback.
