About Me
Hi! I’m cheya, an avid Harry Potter fan , TV show fanatic and a medic at UCL.The act of studying has gotten a bad rep lately. People treat studying like the drunk aunt that wasn’t invited to the baby shower when studying should be treated as a train that takes you where you need to go. I want to help as many students fall in love with studying like I have. I am a sucker for a hot mug of coffee with the rain pattering against my windows, studying vigorously on my laptop with ‘The Lord of the Rings’ soundtrack playing in the background. There is a certain joy that comes from rewarding oneself with a strawberry jam filled doughnut after a long productive day. You can’t help but feel content that you are one step closer to your goals despite the exhaustion. That joy is what I want my students to feel. I can help you with GCSE Biology, GCSE chemistry, A level Biology, BMAT,Medical interview prep as well as your Medical personal Statement.
My teaching style
So, you want to know if your learning style is compatible with my teaching style? Well, my students can expect to be encouraged to make…
Mind maps: Allows students to dump everything they know about a topic onto paper, consolidate with their notes and fill in what they have missed so that they wont forget again.
Flash cards: Creating condensed notes that are pocket sized to carry around anywhere will help with regular revision refreshing.
Checklists: Helps students stay organised and never miss a single point off their specification from their exam board.
Colour coded tables: the addition of organising with colours will enhance one’s ability to memorise formulas and equations.
Detailed diagrams: The visual representation helps make complicated biological and chemical processes easier to understand.
Summary questions: At the end of each topic, having summary questions will allow the student to refresh the topic and relearn any questions they got incorrect .
Practice papers: The holy grail for every exam preparation is using past papers from your specific exam board to get used to the question style and marking points.
