7About Me
Hi there! My name is Hamd, I am 20 and a 3rd-year Medic at the University of Leicester. I did Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-Level and achieved straight A*’s across the board. Alongside this, I got 3100 on my UCAT and went through 3 sets of interviews, leading to 2 offers from Leicester and Liverpool. I believe that I have the determined nature to support you as my tutees through the academically and mentally challenging process of applying for medicine and as a 3rd Year Medic, few others can provide realistic insight into how the next year will be for you applying. I am available to tutor UCAT, interviews and I also do strategic university applications. As a third-year medic, I will be available for multiple lessons a week, which I feel would be more beneficial for you as students as it allows a strong rapport to be built, and also ensures that knowledge that is taught will also be learnt.
My teaching style
The teaching style I have adopted is a very interactive and hands-on approach to learning. Active recall is at the basis of how I teach as I feel this is the most productive way to learn. Because of this, I have dedicated countless hours of my time in the past year to creating resources to be used in a 1-to-1 setting, which alongside the Medic Mind resources will be imperative for you to achieve those top grades at the end of your A-levels.
My past experience
I am a conscientious, hard-working individual who has worked with students in the past with their A-levels. A stand-out student was able to pick up their grade from an E to a B within a year of working with me in A-level Chemistry, allowing them to get into the university of their choice.
My Proudest Achievements
Academically, achieving 3 A* and 3100 on the UCAT.
Outside of education, I have ran a half marathon for charity, raising over £600 for a local foodbank.
