About Me
I am a graduate in History 2.2 Bachelors Degree, and a pass in master’s degree which was Multimedia Journalism. Since graduating I have been working in high schools for almost three years and I am very knowledgeable in a wide range of subjects across the UK curriculum. I have observed, worked alongside with many different teachers across both primary school and high school across Greater Manchester which means I have taken a lot of knowledge in how to teach, how students learn best in different subjects, why students may excel in some subjects and struggle in others. I have a good understanding as I have mentioned in History, and in the humanities as a whole, the types of topics that come up during the course of the year, and the types of “tests” teachers use to see how well students are progressing.
My teaching style
Academic, note taking for lessons. I try to start with a Do-Now or memory recall on previous lessons to help reinforce the learning of past lessons. I believe recall, and repetition helps develop that long term learning which is a skill for all sorts of job roles in the future.
My past experience
Working in schools being a cover supervisor which means I have covered a wide range of lessons, from both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. I have led intervention groups and done 1-2-1 intervention such as grammar and comprehension.
My Proudest Achievements
Covering / leading lessons in subjects that aren’t my background such as Drama.
