About Me
Hi! I’m Maya, a current 2nd year midwifery student at the university of Manchester.
Being a student, I feel like I have a greater understating of the academic needs of pupils and wish to help other students achieve the grades I thought to be impossible at that stage of my education.
The subjects I enjoyed studying most during high school and college were English literature and biology which I’m still passionate about now. They are widely different subjects so I have a strong knowledge of various studying techniques that can allow me to develop skills which helped me to secure a place on my midwifery course.
If you’re struggling with GCSE or A level English literature and biology or if you’re looking to apply for a midwifery/nursing degree and need some tips for your interview or application then I look forward to helping you on your academic journey!
My teaching style
My teaching style adopts an encouraging supportive method of letting the student take the lead in our lessons by recognising the gaps in their learning. This will then allow me to personalise the lessons to help fill these gaps and build confidence which is key to achieving the best grades.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest academic achievement is securing a place at the university of Manchester to study midwifery! It’s a very competitive course that required an interview process and high achieving a level grades. I got A* in English literature and A in biology.
