About Me
Hello, I’m Leyla Hepsaydir. I am an architect-in-training; having graduated with my BA in Architecture from Trinity College, University of Cambridge in 2017, and more recently with my MSc from Delft University of Technology in 2023. I have worked as a design and architecture tutor since 2019 and love learning from young people from all over the world.
Since my Bachelors, I have studied and worked in many countries, taking on a variety of architectural design/research/construction roles in London, Istanbul, Houston, Amsterdam and Lausanne. My socio-spatial interests are broad; spanning from ethnographic research through drawing, collective natural construction methods, agricultural practices and production, politics of discarded heritage and so on. I spend time volunteering in construction and weaving education workshops in my spare time.
My teaching style
The trans-disciplinary nature of my work has been transformative in my exchange with students on their perspectives on the world! I am very open to what works for you – so look forward to thinking/drawing/discussing in various ways!
