About Me
I am a current second-year student studying Economics and Finance at QMUL. I have achieved strong grades throughout my school career at GCSE, AS-Level, and A-Level. I am particularly strong in Mathematics, Economics, and Physics and have experience teaching and tutoring all three, in group and one-to-one settings. I have helped tutor students at GCSE and A-Level standards, helping them to improve their grades. Additionally, I have assisted in helping students in younger years with German, while at school, achieving a grade A at AS-Level. I have also sat the LNAT exam, scoring above the national average, and secured admission to top law schools including the University of Nottingham. Furthermore, I have experience with Law and Economics personal statements and can offer assistance with these as well. In my spare time, I play cricket, having represented my county for six years and continuing to play at a high level. I am fully DBS checked and experienced in tutoring and coaching all ages in both academics and extra-curricular activities.
I am a dedicated and hard-working individual, committed to making sure you/your child is able to improve and excel in their relevant discipline.
My teaching style
My teaching style involves keeping students engaged with their work, helping them to identify their weaknesses, and finding ways to strengthen these areas. I focus on making students think in depth about their subject, helping them make use of active recall to commit newly learned techniques to memory.
My past experience
I have experience tutoring students at 11+, GCSE and A-Level, primarily in a one-to-one setting. I also have experience coaching cricket to players of all ages in group settings. I have also worked as a volunteer teaching assistant at a local primary school.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is being awarded captaincy of my university cricket team for the forthcoming year. This was a result of strong performances in matches, as well as being able to work well with and lead other members of the team in high-pressure situations.
