Emma
About Me
Hi, my name is Emma and I study anthropology at the University of Cambridge. I achieved three A*s at A-Level in English Literature, Politics and Religious Studies. I also achieved an A* in my Extended Project Qualification. I received five offers from all 5 of my universities, and I know how stressful interviews and A-Levels can be so I am happy to help your student in any way I can!
My university application experience was full of uncertainty and I wish I had someone to guide me through it and reassure me. That’s why I do my best to talk to my students about their academics, and also their academic worries. I like to be a role model for my students and help them hone their study skills that they can use for the rest of their education. I like to prioritise revision techniques and mock exams, as I feel doing is the best way to practice anything.
My teaching style
My lessons are tailored to the student, and I like to focus on exam technique when possible. I work to the relevant mark schemes to make sure the student will be confident in their exams. I also produce reports at the end of each lesson detailing what we have done, so that student can easily keep track of their work.
My past experience
I have been tutoring 11+ preparation and GCSE English since July 2023.
