Hey! My name is Andreas and I am a final-year medical student at the University of Southampton with an interest in teaching and education.
I believe that with the appropriate guidance and attitude, every student can strive to achieve their goals. My aim is to help every student achieve the best grade/outcome they possibly can to give them access to whichever career path they desire.
I am very keen to continue teaching students at a variety of levels, something which I have been doing for the past 8 years alongside my own education. I am passionate about teaching and I aim to continue teaching throughout the remainder of my education and during my career too.
Given my prior tutoring experiences, I would be eager to help out in the following areas:
– KS1/KS2 Maths, English and Science
– 11+ Preparation – Verbal, Non-verbal, Maths and English
– Maths from KS3 to A-Level
– Science from KS3 to A-Level
– Medicine Application: BMAT, UCAT, MMI/Panel Interviews, Personal Statement and general application advice
– Medicine at University
– Mentoring at any of these levels
Being a university student, I have a flexible working schedule and I will do whatever possible to accommodate your needs. I always aim to be as committed to my students as possible and I am available to provide academic support and advice outside of lesson hours.

My teaching style
I am a friendly and approachable individual with a passion for guiding students to access their full potential. My lessons will be personalised to what students want to cover and my teaching style will be tailored to each student’s preferences and capabilities. To make these sessions as useful as possible, I will ask students to complete independent learning to be ready for what we are going to cover in the next session. I also tend to focus on applying knowledge using sample questions to test and consolidate information if this is appropriate for the student. In doing this, exam technique can also be focused on and has been a key component of my past students’ success.
My past experience
Throughout my time in education, I have implemented teaching/tutoring into my life, both at school and at university. I have experience tutoring KS1/KS2, 11+, KS3 Maths and Science and GCSE/A Level Maths and Science. I also have experience tutoring/mentoring medical school applicants, supporting students in writing personal statements, interview preparation and UCAT/BMAT entrance exam preparation. I have guided a number of students to achieve their desired grade/outcome, enabling them to follow the career path that they desire.

I am most proud of finding a path in which I can help others thrive whilst simultaneously working on my own personal and professional development.
