About Me
Hello! I’m Ben, a PhD student in Chemical Engineering of Christ’s College, University of Cambridge; I also won the North Carolina State University prize for my cutting-edge research in Cambridge in 2025. I’ve been highly involved in student life, being Treasurer at Christ’s JCR for a year and a half, while having experienced the Natural Sciences tripos under the old Chemical Engineering course in my first year. If you have any questions about any STEM-related subject, I’ll likely have some insight to give you.
I’ve tutored informally since secondary school, 6 years ago. I’ve been helping students tune their application for Oxbridge and solidify their knowledge ahead of exams; I know most of the pitfalls with the Oxbridge application systems and I’d be happy to help you avoid them. Likewise, I know what extracurriculars, or ‘supercurriculars’ in Oxbridge terminology, really make an application shine; narrowing those down would be an excellent challenge.
My teaching style
Structured problem-solving tailored to the student. Primarily, this follows a structure of swiftly identifying areas where the student is struggling and developing a personalised path to not only reapir these weaknesses, but amplyify the student’s strengths and help them communicate their potential.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is winning the North Carolina state University Prize in 2025- I am committed to making a positive impact with my work in novel ways, so to be recognised for the innovation is fulfilling.
