Shubhankar
About Me
Shubhankar is a Radcliffe scholar reading for DPhil in International Relations at the Department of Politics and International Relations and University College at the University of Oxford. He works on the intersections of history of international thought and political theory. He is also currently teaching the core International Relations course to PPE students at Merton College, Oxford.
Before his studies at DPIR, he gained an MSc in International Relations (Research) from the London School of Economics and a BA (Hons) in Political Science from Ramjas College, University of Delhi. He enjoys having in-depth conversations about world affairs, politics and history. Both as a teacher and student, he emphasizes the values of hard work and close readings to improve critical thinking and writing skills.
My teaching style
I believe in personalized and reflexive pedagogy. Every student is different and demands specific attention. Through my extensive education in international contexts, I ensure that students, regardless of their background, grasp and engage with the subjects fruitfully
