My teaching style
In my teaching approach, I prioritize active engagement to empower students in their learning journey. I encourage them to explore and attempt tasks independently initially, fostering a space for hands-on experience. I firmly believe that the process of making mistakes and subsequent corrections is a powerful catalyst for effective learning. It not only reinforces the material but also cultivates resilience and a deeper understanding.
Moreover, I share valuable insights on proven study techniques, such as spaced repetition, and guide students on how to incorporate these methods into their academic routines.
Leveraging my firsthand experience in vet school interviews, I take a comprehensive approach. I delve into interview etiquette, placing emphasis on factors like posture and creating a lasting impression. As part of my guidance, I encourage students to reflect on and explore their unique presentation styles before providing constructive insights. This approach ensures holistic development, addressing both personal and academic growth in preparation for the challenges of vet school admission.
My past experience
Yes, I have had tutoring experience in preparing year 11 and 12 students for their Higher School Certificate Examination (New South Wales). I mostly tutor Biology.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is gaining admission to vet school, a highly competitive process demanding both academic excellence and extensive working experience hours. The academic challenges deepened each year, but I persevered through disciplined study schedules, resulting in a high GPA. This accomplishment allows me to qualify for a summer research scholarship, which focuses on comparative heart anatomy and physiology in livestock, wildlife, and exotic species. This achievement reflects my dedication to veterinary studies and serves as a testament to my commitment to excellence in the field.
