About Me

Hi, I’m Saba! I’m a 4th-year medical student at Imperial College London with a real passion for teaching and helping students reach their full potential. Having achieved 9 Grade 9s at GCSE and 4 A*s at A-Level, I understand the dedication and strategy needed to succeed in these crucial exams. I also received offers from all four medical schools I applied to, along with a scholarship awarded for my interview performance, so I am well-equipped to guide students aiming for competitive courses like Medicine.

I believe no two students are the same — I tailor every lesson to suit each individual’s needs, learning style, and goals. Whether it’s mastering GCSE Science, excelling in A-Level Biology, or preparing for medical school applications and interviews, I’m committed to building confidence and achieving results. I genuinely love teaching and bring patience, encouragement, and passion to every session.Whether it’s GCSEs, A-Levels, or preparing for medical school applications, I aim to make complex topics clear, manageable, and achievable.

My teaching style

My teaching style is highly adaptable to each student. I use active recall and frequent questioning to test understanding and encourage deep learning. I tailor resources to the student’s preferred style — for visual learners, I use diagrams and videos while for auditory learners, I explain concepts clearly and encourage discussion. My goal is to keep sessions engaging, boost confidence, and help every student learn in the way that suits them best.

My past experience

Yes, I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring across a wide age range, from young children to sixth form students preparing for university. I have taught GCSE and A-Level content, as well as supporting students aiming for competitive courses like Medicine. I have delivered teaching on medical school admissions, including interview preparation, common stations, medical ethics, and personal statement reviews. I have also volunteered as a mock interview examiner for prospective medical students at Imperial College London, providing detailed feedback to help them strengthen their applications.

One of my proudest achievements was planning and hosting the Junior Medics Conference at Imperial College London, welcoming over 150 Year 11 and Year 12 students from widening participation backgrounds. I designed and delivered a full day of workshops, talks, and interactive activities to inspire and equip students to pursue a career in Medicine. The event received excellent feedback, and I was invited back the following year to deliver another hands-on cardiovascular workshop.

Alongside this, I have taught medical topics to younger years within my university, consistently receiving positive feedback for making complex subjects accessible and engaging. Across all my roles, I have developed strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills. I am passionate about education and committed to helping every student grow in confidence, knowledge, and ambition

My Proudest Achievements

Some of my proudest achievements include chairing and organising the Junior Medics Conference, where I independently planned and delivered a full day of workshops for over 150 aspiring medical students. It was incredibly rewarding to help make a difference for students from widening participation backgrounds. I also received a scholarship award for one of the top interview performances at medical school, achieved a distinction in my first-year exams, and scored in the top 5% nationally for the UCAT Quantitative Reasoning section.

While I’m proud of these milestones, I believe what matters most is the mindset behind them — consistent effort, learning from mistakes, and believing improvement is always possible. I hope to instill that same confidence and perseverance in every student I teach.
