About Me
Hi, I am Ellen, a Biomedical Science graduate (First Class Honours Degree) and I am currently studying Graduate Entry Medicine.
I have experience tutoring students of all ages and I aim to support you, to help you reach your goals. My students are the focus of every session and I aim to coach you to succeed.
I can provide subject tutoring as well as provide tips to help you find your unique learning style, a method that is most efficient for you. This is something as a student studying an accelerated medical course, I learnt to do quickly!
I’ve also gained offers from all medical schools I interviewed for (MMI and panel interview), and I have helped others prepare and pass their interviews as well.
One of my goals within my medical career is to maintain links with my university to continue teaching/mentoring/tutoring wherever I can, as this is a real passion of mine.
I’m very patient, I understand everything doesn’t come naturally, and therefore I’m here to help you!
My teaching style
I’ll provide you with personalised coaching and feedback to help you meet and even surpass your goals. My teaching style is very flexible, and this is something we can discuss and adapt to what best suits you.
My past experience
I have experience tutoring privately, from school-age children, through to A-level Science and University-level students.
My Proudest Achievements
I am very proud of gaining a place at my medical school. Being the first generation in my family to attend university, I never imagined at school I would one-day study medicine. Thriving in my A-levels and my undergraduate degree, I realised I was more than capable of pursuing this vocation which has become a real passion of mine.
In my free time, however, I volunteer with a local charity that offers emergency support to the local community and people living with addiction. This was a real challenge for me, having begun volunteering during the pandemic, completely out of my comfort zone. I’m really proud of the skills that I have developed and finding opportunities to put my medical training into practice. This also provided me with invaluable training experiences including life support and essential listening and communication skills.
