Hi! My name is Minnah and I am in my third year of medical school at the University of Nottingham.

I can remember so clearly just how daunting GCSEs, A levels, and the whole application process to medical school can be and so I will cater every session to your specific wants and needs. I am a personable, organised and dedicated person who will make every session is worthwhile and enjoyable. I am also not afraid to say ‘I don’t know!’ but will make sure to chase up any questions you need answering no matter what it is.
I am happy to also tutor in pre-clinical medicine. I just finished my pre-clinical content so understand just how challenging all the information can be to digest. I have a few tricks that have really helped me along the way and would be happy to teach you!
Outside of medicine I enjoy going to the gym, playing badminton and netball as well as cooking, baking and reading (especially thriller novels, if you ever need suggestions, let me know!).
My teaching style
I am an honest teacher. I will always tell a person their strengths but be very clear about their weaknesses and help them develop both to make them the strongest candidate they can possible be. I also use the method of active recall, something I have loved doing in my own studies, to ensure concepts are clear and fully understood. One way I do this is by having quizzes at the start of every session with students to review topics we previously covered.
My past experience
I have tutored in GCSE science in the past.
My Proudest Achievements
Getting into medical school was by far my proudest achievement to date. Alongside that, achieving an A* in Biology A level and an A in Chemistry A level after months of hard work, (lots of tears!) and determination was a huge deal for me. Currently, in medical school, I am also proud that I have consistently been a first class student across all my exams to date!
