About Me

I’m Isaac, and I specialise in helping students build the confidence, speed and consistency needed to excel in the UCAT. Having recently achieved a 97th percentile score (2440) myself, I know exactly what the exam feels like and what actually works under real pressure. My goal is to take the uncertainty out of UCAT prep and give students a clear, structured path to improvement.

I’m reliable, patient and organised, and I take tutoring seriously. Every lesson is prepared in advance, every strategy I teach has been tested in real UCAT conditions, and I make sure students understand why an approach works instead of just memorising steps. I encourage questions, push students to think logically, and celebrate their progress—confidence is a huge part of the UCAT, and I work hard to build it.

Students can expect a supportive environment where high standards are paired with practical, honest guidance. Whether someone is aiming for medical school entry or simply wants to boost their score, I always aim to bring out their best.

My teaching style

My tutoring style is very structured but also personalised to each student. I focus on breaking the UCAT down into simple, repeatable strategies—especially for timing, pattern recognition, and decision-making under pressure. I teach by demonstrating my own thought process out loud, then guiding students until they can apply the same logic independently. I’m big on practice-based learning, so nearly every lesson involves real UCAT questions, timed drills, and review of mistakes to build accuracy and speed at the same time.

A typical lesson runs for 60–90 minutes, depending on the student. This gives enough time to teach technique, go through worked examples, and finish with a timed mini-section so students can immediately apply what they’ve learned. I also provide short homework sets so they keep improving between sessions.

I’m a 97th percentile UCAT scorer (2440) and I’ve spent a lot of time helping friends and other students with UCAT strategies, especially for VR and QR. Because I’ve recently sat the UCAT myself, I teach methods that actually work for the current exam format—not recycled techniques that feel outdated or unrealistic.

My lessons are perfect for Year 11–12 students or gap-year applicants aiming for a competitive score. I work well with students who want a supportive but straightforward tutor—someone who can explain difficult questions simply, keep them accountable, and push them to improve without adding extra stress.

My Proudest Achievements

My proudest achievement is the discipline I built preparing for the UCAT—from creating my own study systems to improving my timing and accuracy under pressure. That journey pushed me to become more organised, resilient and confident, and those are qualities I now bring into my tutoring.
