15About Me
My name is Sadia Rani, and have been working within education for about 18 years. I initially started as a teaching assistant and then progressed to a SEND tutor. For last 7-8 years, I worked with young people 16-25 with SEND needs tailoring sessions according to their needs however with the main focus on employment. As a college, our main aim was to enable our learners with badic life skills and preparing them for future employment opportunities. Before working in further education, I worked with children of all ages from primary to all the way to year 11 supporting students with various subjects. My favourite subject is Maths and my focal subject during my DET level 5 was Functional Skills Maths. I have a hidden passion for numbers. I am multilingual and can speak fluent Urdu, Mirpuri however understand Punjabi too.
My teaching style
My teaching style has developed, altered and progressed over the years however I believe in structure and organisation. Lesson planning would be child centered so teaching style may vary according to the needs of individual students.
My Proudest Achievements
Completing my DET level 5 and then QTLS in my late thirties are my good moments.
