About Me
Hi, I’m Adithi and I’m going into my second year of medicine at UCL.
During my own journey through the medical admissions process, I felt flooded with information about each stage of the process, which initially I found quite overwhelming. However slowly, I picked out the relevant information which allowed me to achieve highly in the UCAT, BMAT and interviews. This meant I was able to get 3 medicine offers!
I hope to be able to pass on what I learned during my application to you, so you can also go on to achieve. My own experience, in conjunction with the guidance from MedicMind places me in an ideal position to tutor prospective applicants.
The fact that I also received 3 offers also means I have a wide breadth of knowledge about the admissions process, which I believe sets me apart from other tutors.
I chose to study medicine because I am passionate about science, and I always knew I wanted to go into a career working with and helping people. Teaching is also a key aspect of medicine that I enjoy, which is why I would like to be a tutor!
My teaching style
The best teacher I’ve ever had taught me by breaking down hard concepts into smaller portions, and relating them to concepts I was familiar with in my own life to help me understand them. This is how I can help you to get to grips with those tricky topics that seem complicated and impossible to learn. I believe that using the whiteboard, asking questions and repetition are also useful learning tools to make sure you can remember things long term, and not just for a week or two. I hope to be able to make lessons interesting and engaging, and guided by you, so we can focus on your own concerns, as well as tieing everything together. Hopefully this means you can become an expert in every aspect of the admissions process!
My past experience
I have over 200 hours of tutoring experience with Medic Mind! However, this isn’t my only experience. I’ve been teaching and tutoring all through school! From Year 9-11 I tutored sciences for students in the year below within my school, which taught me the process of tutoring an individual student (or small groups). I also have experience tutoring working at KUMON.
I have also taught choirs and singing for 4 years during school, so I have teaching experience of all varieties!
My Proudest Achievements
Getting into my dream university, UCL, and living in London!
