7About Me
Hello everyone,
I am Viviana, and I m here to teach both English and Italian.
I was born in Roma and I have been living in London for 17 years. I currently work as a Secondary School teacher, but I also had taught English a second language and Italian in Spain and Italy.
I am CELTA certified, I helped prepare ESOL and TOFEL exams, and I taught Italian for business, for 6 years.
I am very passionate about different cultures and languages, and my lessons are mostly focused on speaking and listening.
I believe that the more you learn, use and practise the language, the more accurate and fluent you become. Repetition and practice are essential to many skills, and this is especially true when learning a language. In each lesson, we will revisit grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and the lessons will be adapted to your specific learning style and interests.
My teaching style
I believe that progress comes with fun, and I will make sure to use tasks you find interesting in an environment where active and successful learning is encouraged.
I provide reading and writing activities that you can do in between lessons and I will correct and give feedback once you have submitted it.
I know how it feels to learn a second language, and that’s why I make sure to make the students feel at ease and comfortable during the lessons. I do this by writing down the areas you need to improve on during speaking exercise and I will give you feedback only at the end,rather that correcting on the spot.
