8About Me
My name is Shaz. I am an experienced teacher (18 years) and trainer (8 years). I am open minded and have great communication skills. I am able to get along with all types of learners. I am can get along with people from all types of backgrounds and countries. I spent 10 years teaching in Saudi Arabia and have spent the last 4 years teaching college students. I also have a training background where by I have been a Digital Skills Trainer, IT Trainer, Software Trainer and a Specialist Trainer. My trainer roles took me worldwide. I am a quick thinker and manage my time very effectively. I have gained a variety of transferable skills over the years which I am able to use within my teaching. I am a great motivator and able to assist in a variety of situations. I enjoy a good challenge as it can be quite rewarding.
My teaching style
I teach the curriculum in accordance with learner needs and requirements. I use teacher-centered approaches like lecturing to student-centered approaches like facilitating discussions or delegating projects. Some common styles include the lecturer, demonstrator, facilitator, delegator, and hybrid styles. The most effective style often depends on the subject matter, learner needs, and the overall goals of the learning experience.
My Proudest Achievements
Having an 85% pass rate last year on GCSE exams and a 90% pass rate on Functional Skills exams.
