About Me
Beyond my academic background in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, I am deeply passionate about fostering engagement and curiosity in learning. My experience as President of the Debate Club and participation in societies such as PPE Football, Debate Society, and PPE Society have sharpened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly—an essential skill for tutoring.
Additionally, my involvement in Manchester’s Kabaddi and Kho Societies, where I competed in regional and national tournaments, has given me a strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and resilience—qualities I bring into teaching. Organizing and leading initiatives, such as the Diwali Ball during my tenure as Vice President of Manchester Hindu Society, has reinforced my ability to manage and inspire groups effectively.
I am eager to bring this enthusiasm and strategic mindset to tutoring, helping students navigate their learning journey with confidence and curiosity. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my diverse interests and experiences can support student development.
My teaching style
I bring a results-driven, innovative approach to tutoring, ensuring every session is efficient and tailored to each student’s specific needs. Over the past year, I have successfully guided over 20 GCSE and A-Level students across humanities subjects, helping 85% achieve A or A grades* through personalized strategies that teachers often overlook. My expertise spans multiple exam boards, including OCR, AQA, and Edexcel, ensuring students receive precise, exam-focused guidance.
English Literature & Language – 90% of my students improved by at least two grade levels, mastering exam technique and analysis.
History & Politics – Students achieved an 80% success rate in securing top grades through structured essay planning and critical discussions.
Philosophy & Geography – 75% of students exceeded their predicted grades after adopting my specialized argumentation techniques and case study analysis.
Unlike conventional teaching methods, I eliminate wasted time and focus on practical strategies that deliver measurable results. My sessions prioritize critical thinking through Socratic discussions, strategic essay planning to sharpen argumentation, and intensive timed exam practice to build confidence. By identifying gaps in traditional classroom teaching, I provide tailored advice that has improved student performance by an average of 25% in practice assessments. Whether online or in-person, my structured, high-impact tutoring method cultivates academic excellence and a deep appreciation for learning.
My past experience
I have built a strong track record as a results-driven tutor specializing in humanities subjects, including History, English Literature, Politics, Geography, and Philosophy. My tutoring journey began during my A-levels, where I quickly established myself as a go-to mentor, helping peers master essay structure, source analysis, and critical argumentation. The success of my early students led to word-of-mouth recommendations, allowing me to support a diverse range of learners across different abilities and academic backgrounds. Since then, I have worked extensively with GCSE and A-Level students, with over 70% achieving top grades (A or A) under my guidance*.
At university, I refined my teaching methodology through Debate Mate, a nationally recognized educational program that equips students from under-resourced schools with elite communication and critical thinking skills. As a lead instructor, I designed and delivered high-impact weekly sessions in British Parliamentary Debate, tailoring my approach to develop confidence, clarity, and analytical rigor in my students. My coaching methods proved transformative—the students I mentored reached the semi-finals of a national competition, an unprecedented achievement for their schools and a testament to the effectiveness of my structured training.
This blend of academic expertise, proven results, and strategic teaching experience has shaped a tutoring style that is precise, engaging, and deeply committed to student success. I don’t simply teach content—I equip students with the tools to think critically, argue persuasively, and perform confidently under exam conditions. With a focus on targeted skill development and tailored guidance, I ensure that every student maximizes their potential, turning academic challenges into opportunities for excellence.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements was completing a year abroad at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and solo traveling across Southeast Asia. Immersing myself in a new academic and cultural environment at NUS strengthened my adaptability and global perspective. Beyond the classroom, navigating different countries alone pushed me out of my comfort zone, honing my independence, problem-solving, and resilience. From exploring diverse landscapes to engaging with people from varied backgrounds, this experience broadened my worldview and sharpened my ability to thrive in unfamiliar settings—skills that continue to shape my personal and professional journey.
