About Me
Hello! My name is Navina and I’m a Second Year Medical Student at The Hull York Medical School. I didn’t get into medical school first time so I’m all about resilience and striving to try again when things don’t go quite right first time. I’ve had experience working as a medical receptionist so I’m very patient and can work well under pressure! I’m really approachable and as a student myself currently, I know exams can be daunting and difficult to navigate through so hopefully we can work together to make them less scary! I try to make lessons interactive, giving loads of opportunity to ask questions! If there’s anything we’re not sure of, we can work together towards a solution! I’m also currently a technical assistant at the university which involves going into campus bright an early so I’m highly motivated and am able to work with colleagues to ensure lectures are delivered across the campuses.
My teaching style
Interactive, question focussed and fact based. Student chooses the topics they want to be covered and lessons will be focussed on maximising marks so mark schemes will form a large part of this. Will also direct the student to websites they can use to encourage learning outside of sessions as well.
My past experience
Yes, have tutored children before.
