Maria
About Me
Hi, My name is Maria and this October I’ll be starting a med school in Italy. For my A-levels I did Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, Polish and EPQ (AS level). Since my early childhood, I’ve always been interested in science, especially functioning of human body. I’m also really into the theoretical subjects such as maths and chemistry, as I understand they are a basis for future research in scientific fields. I think it’s very fascinating how different laws and equations about the universe were created and how they became a structure for today’s discoveries.
Besides, studying and reading scientific literature, I’m also passionate about ballet and contemporary dance, which I’ve been doing since I was 3 years old, attending an afternoon ballet school in my city. In my free time, I also enjoy playing piano.
My teaching style
As I attended Montessori school for almost 5 years, I strongly believe in building self-motivation and desire to discover new things by students themselves. I’m sure, that this is the most effective way of learning, which in future will bring the most outstnading results! My teaching is based on interaction with student and forms of studying that are sometimes unconventional but can truly inspire students and make them enjoy the subject.
My past experience
In the past, I organised lessons of English language and Maths for the students in my local area. Having a younger sister requiring sometimes a help with homeworks, pushed me to use my full potential as a tutor.
My Proudest Achievements
As a 16-year old student I received a full scholarship to study in UK at the A-level programme in one of the best schools in the country.
