About Me
I am a supportive tutor with over 450 hours of experience teaching across a range of subjects and age groups. I hold a BA in Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics from the University of Cambridge.
I have a strong passion for language learning and for the cultures, histories and literatures that surround languages. I understand first-hand the challenges students often face – from building confidence in speaking to understanding complex grammar points. I tailor my lessons carefully to each learner’s needs, goals and learning style in whichever subject they’re studying.
I have lived and worked in Italy, where I taught a variety of subjects, I’ve taught science in primary schools, and I’ve tutored languages online. My background in linguistics enables me to explain why languages work the way they do, and to support learners using evidence-based approaches to language learning.
Outside of teaching, I love doing anything creative, whether that’s baking, singing or crocheting.

My teaching style
I support learners in primary and secondary school, including GCSE, AS, A Level, IB and university applicants. I also teach English as a Second Language across all levels.
My lessons are engaging and focused on helping students gain confidence in the topic they’re studying or the language they’re speaking. I create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and challenging themselves.
Each lesson is structured with a clear objective. New topics are introduced clearly, with plenty of opportunities to practice and develop confidence.
I provide free resources and work with students to create a personalised learning plan to support their goals and track progress. I tailor my lessons to how students learn best – feel free to book a free meeting where we can discuss your needs, learning style and how we can work together best.
For exam and qualification preparation, I align lessons with the syllabus, helping students feel confident in each topic and prepared through the use of past papers and sample questions. I help students understand what the examiner is looking for and how to gain full marks. I provide detailed feedback on the topics covered and the progress made during a student’s learning journey.
I have experience teaching students with Special Educational Needs, and I’m committed to making adjustments to ensure lessons are accessible and centred around pupils’ needs.
My past experience
I have over 250 hours of experience tutoring, and over 150 hours of experience teaching classes. I’ve taught English as a Second Language, Italian, French, Ancient Greek. I’ve also taught and supported students of primary school and middle school age in a variety of subjects such as maths and science.
