About Me

Hi, I’m Zaynab a medical student at the University of Leeds on a Scholarship. If I was to describe myself in three words they’d be, Bubbly, Determined and an Optimist. I decided to be a tutor as I realised I had a lot of valuable skills from receiving all 4 of my medical school offers whilst obtaining top A level grades and whilst also playing at a semi-professional level in football! I am a big advocate of not needing to be private schooled to achieve good grades and reach your goals. From being state schooled my whole life then doing my A-Levels self-taught at home I am an example of hard work being the sole reason for reaching your goal. Not only did I receive my firm offer for medical school but I also received a Scholarship! My aim is to make sure students realise how worthy they are of their place at university and how to implement certain habits to ace your a levels!

My teaching style

I aim at the start of all my sessions to ask the student their knowledge (what I call base knowledge). This allows me to see how much a student knows already and if they have any misconceptions! Then throughout the lesson I ask questions making the session more interactive whilst finishing off with a quiz on the topic taught. At the end of each topic a set of exam questions are completed within the session to gain an understanding of how much the student has retained throughout that topic.

My past experience

I have tutored through a platform called Mytutors before.
