About Me
Hello! I’m excited to help young learners build confidence and thrive in their early education. I’m currently studying for my MSc in Speech and Language Therapy at Health Sciences University, and I have a strong background in educational development. I completed my undergraduate degree in Educational Studies, where I gained valuable knowledge in child development, learning strategies.
Additionally, I have practical experience as a teaching assistant for one year in Years 1, 2, and 3, where I supported students across a variety of subjects. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how children learn and how to tailor lessons to meet each student’s individual needs.
I specialise in Maths, English, and Phonics at Key Stage 1, and I’m passionate about making learning engaging and enjoyable. Whether it’s supporting a child with their reading, phonics, or understanding maths concepts, my aim is to create a positive, supportive, and fun learning environment that helps children reach their full potential.
With a combination of hands-on experience and academic knowledge, I offer personalised support that builds confidence and encourages a love of learning. If you’re looking for a friendly, experienced, and dedicated tutor, I’d love to work with your child!
My teaching style
My teaching style is all about being supportive, engaging, and flexible to suit each student’s needs. I want learning to be enjoyable and stress-free while ensuring real progress is made. Here’s how I approach tutoring: Personalised and Tailored, Fun and Interactive, Building Confidence, Clear and Patient Communication, Encouraging Independence, Regular Feedback
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements is completing my undergraduate degree in Educational Studies, despite facing the challenges of dyslexia. At the start, I wasn’t sure if university was the right path for me, and it took a lot of determination to push through those doubts. However, I was determined, and over time, I not only succeeded but also built my confidence and discovered a real passion for learning and education.
Another major milestone was gaining a place on my master’s degree course in Speech and Language Therapy. This is something I’m truly proud of, as it required hard work, persistence, and a belief in my abilities, even when I wasn’t certain I could make it. These achievements serve as a reminder of how far I’ve come and the strength I’ve developed along the way.
