3About Me
I am currently a third year vet student at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. I completed the IB programme with a total of 42/45 (including a 7 in HL Bio) and have been awarded the Bilingual award. I was shortlisted for the RVC International Scholarship Award after the interview, meaning that my interview performance and academic achievement was top 10% among the whole cohort. I have also achieved 9 A* in GCSEs (including Biology). In addition, I have also received offers from University of Edinburgh and University of Bristol. I obtained a merit in my first year and a distinction in my second year of my vet degree. I have done more than 6 months of working experience in a small animal hospital so that I hope I am able to provide you with some insights of the veterinary profession in assisting with your interview performance. I’m more than eager to provide any academic support for you and hopefully will be able to help you achieving your academic goals.
My teaching style
For personal statement, I will provide critical comments and self-reflecting questions to hopefully encourage you to showcase the knowledge that you’ve learned from your experience, rather than showing what you have done. I will go through and edit your personal statement many times until both of us are satisfied with it. For interviews preparation, I will share my own personal experience and to provide you with some tips to overcome the anxiety. I will also be able to do some mock interviews with you by setting up some questions relevant to each station in the MMI. For biology, I like to first going through the concepts then provide you with some homework and then answer any questions you have.
My Proudest Achievements
Most recent proudest achievement is definitely getting a distinction in my second year as all my hard work has been paid off miraculously. Then following that will be receiving the offer from RVC three days after my interview. I’ve always wanted to go to RVC. Therefore, the joy and excitement after receiving the offer was unforgettable and marks a new milestone to my life.
