Amber
About Me
Hi there! My name is Amber and I’m currently a 4th year dental student at the University of Bristol. Alongside university I have been tutoring for 3 years now, mainly in GCSE maths and science but I have also helped many students with getting into university and university interviews- mainly for dentistry and medicine. I have also mentored a fair few students over the years, both throughout university and during my time in school. As a person I would say that I am patient, kind and nurturing by nature- I always try my best to inspire students and help them reach their full potential! I feel I have a lot to give in terms of knowledge (and life experience)- from getting into university to getting through GCSEs/ a levels. I also want to be able to help other students through the university interview process as I feel for some people it requires a lot of coaching, guidance and practice and I want to be able to provide this support to students that need it!
My teaching style
In terms of my teaching style- I tend to tailor this to my students on an individual basis. For subject teaching I focus on areas that my students want help with or are struggling with and use a combination of the syllabus, worksheets and exam questions in lessons. I also teach remotely using a virtual whiteboard.
My past experience
I have 3 years of experience of teaching GCSE maths and science. Also over the course of being at university I have successfully got many students in to dentistry and medicine.
