About Me
Hi! I’m Ritika. I’ve just finished my A-Levels with top grades in sciences and maths, and I’ve also completed the UCAT, so I know first-hand how challenging exams, applications, and planning can be. I’ve reflected on my own journey through medical school applications, and I understand the process inside out, which helps me guide students in a way that makes it manageable and clear. I enjoy breaking down tricky topics, focusing on real understanding rather than memorising, and tailoring lessons to each student’s strengths, challenges, and goals. I’m patient and approachable, and I aim to create lessons where questions are encouraged and progress is tangible. Whether it’s boosting grades, preparing for admissions tests, or getting ready for interviews, I guide students step by step, helping them feel confident and in control throughout the process.
My teaching style
I’m an adaptable tutor who tailors lessons to each student’s needs, using a variety of resources and multiple teaching methods. Through experience and practice, I focus on both mastering concepts and developing exam technique, showing students how to approach questions strategically and work effectively with the mark scheme. My lessons combine clear explanations, targeted practice, and exam-focused strategies to build understanding, confidence, and the skills to excel ..
My past experience
I have experience tutoring a range of students, both voluntarily and professionally. I’ve mentored peers through school science clubs, coached gymnastics and cricket, and provided paid tutoring for family and friends from KS2 up to GCSE level. I’ve taught maths, sciences, and English, tailoring lessons to each student’s level and learning style. This mix of volunteer and paid experience has helped me develop adaptability, patience, and the ability to explain concepts in clear, engaging ways.
