About Me

Hello! My name is Rohit Das, and I’m a second-year medical student at Queen’s University Belfast. Having applied to medical school twice, I understand firsthand the challenges and persistence required to pursue a career in medicine, and this experience motivates me to support and relate to others going through the same journey.

I’m a fun and energetic person with a big love for sports. I swim for my university and also enjoy playing football whenever I can. Outside of academics and athletics, music is a huge part of my life—I love playing and listening to music as a way to unwind and express myself.

As I continue my medical journey, I’m committed to growing not only as a future doctor but also as someone who brings enthusiasm, resilience, and a well-rounded perspective to everything I do.

My teaching style

My teaching style is centred on patience, clarity, and genuine encouragement, shaped by my own experiences navigating the challenges of applying to medical school more than once. I understand how overwhelming the process can feel, so I approach every session with empathy and a strong focus on building confidence as well as knowledge.

I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. I break down complex concepts into simple, manageable ideas, using step-by-step explanations, visual examples, and practical strategies that students can easily apply.

I also believe that learning should be interactive, so I encourage active participation, regular discussion, and problem-solving rather than passive listening. Because every student learns differently, I adapt my approach to suit individual strengths, weaknesses, and goals, ensuring that each lesson feels personal and relevant.

Whether I’m teaching academic content, giving application advice, or helping with exam preparation, I try to bring humour, positivity, and energy to every session, making the experience enjoyable as well as productive. Ultimately, my teaching style reflects my belief that success comes from consistency, resilience, and the right guidance. I aim not only to help students understand material, but also to inspire them to approach challenges with determination, curiosity, and self-belief.

My past experience

I have tutored students for medical interviews at my school for the past year.
I have tutored students for junior cert maths (GCSE maths).
