About Me
Hi, I’m Hasan, a welcoming and friendly medical student at QMUL London (Queen Mary University of London). From my experience, I know how convoluted and difficult the Medicine Application process can be, especially with the strict deadlines we must follow to achieve the outstanding scores necessary to get offers. Through this platform, I will extensively train you to learn and understand the most beneficial techniques needed to tackle your exams to ensure you achieve the best results possible. I attained four grade 9’s, and four grade 8’s in my GCSE’s plus A*A*A (+A* in my EPQ) at A-level. During my A-levels I sat my UCAT and ranked in the top 10% decile. In the same year. I received interviews from all 4 medical universities and offers from 4 medical schools. Whilst being a student, I have delivered tutoring lessons on various platforms and have worked with students to guide them on to achieve top grades in A Level and GCSE Biology and Chemistry and guided many through the tough UCAT exams. Through MedicMind, I will share the resources, methodology and most importantly the concept behind each exam specification so you feel comfortable and sufficiently prepared for your exam. This approach will ensure you can get the results you desire. In the past months I have tutored and assisted many students and I am looking forward to working with you.
My teaching style
The active recall style is my main style of teaching as this ensures the student is repeatedly studying the past topics alongside with making progress in the course. This style keeps the mind open and allows the student to make links to other sections, making studying easier and more efficient. Along side this, I use the authority style, delegator style, facilitator style and hybrid style in which I will use resources of both MedicMind and my personal resources that assisted me during my application. Throughout the sessions, I will use mock exams, past papers and practice questions to ensure the student is applying the knowledge they are learning. I will also set Homework in which they can complete past paper questions and we can go over the mistakes in the session, allowing them to overcome their weaknesses.
My past experience
I have taught students at GCSE and A-Level whilst I was at High school for 3 months and have been working as a medic tutor on various platforms in the previous years. Also, being the president for a studying society at my medical school makes me very passionate and keen on helping students, and has allowed me to refine my teaching techniques whilst improving on making the major concept explanations easier to understand for GCSE, A-levels and UCAT. I also have experience teaching UCAT
foreign students (mostly from Australia, New Zealand and various other countries).
My Proudest Achievements
Receiving my offer from Queen Mary’s University of London and the 3 offers I got from my cherished medical schools across the UK. Achieving exceptionally well grades in GCSE, A-Levels and the UCAT. Throughout my medical school journey I have continuously obtained extraordinary grades for my semester exams. Running 3 different societies and having the presidential role is also another great achievement I am delighted about.
