4About Me
Hi my name is Simran and I am currently in my 4th year of dental school at King’s College London. I enjoy helping students, whether it be assisting with understanding a difficult concept in a particular subject or providing tips on the best way to ace your dental interview.
During my A-Levels, I had the opportunity of tutoring year 9-11 students at my school in my free periods. It was very rewarding to see the students quickly understand concepts that they found difficult at first. I tailor the learning to each individual so they understand effectively and thoroughly.
At university, I am a student ambassador, which allows me to go out to schools and provide the top tips on getting into university and also help out in mock interviews. Having personally attended a King’s Dental Summer School before starting uni, I was able to receive the best advice on how to get into university and I would like to help out students in the same way.

My teaching style
I always ask the student what their aims are to get out of the lesson and if there is anything in particular they struggle with. Every student learns differently and at different paces so understanding what the student wants allows me to tailor my teaching to best suit them. I keep my lessons engaging and interacting by asking questions and ensuring they understand everything I go through in the lesson.
My past experience
I have taught year 9-11 students during my A-Levels and would go through specific topics they found difficult and went through all the concepts the student needed to understand in order to ace their exams.
I am a student ambassador through my uni and I have gone to primary and secondary schools to tutor students for specific subjects.
