3About Me
I am Pubudu Kasthurirathne. I have been an English language and literature teacher for the past 20 years. I have worked in many schools local and overseas with many interesting children. I am now reading for my double masters in Swansea University.
Teaching is my passion as I love to deal with young minds. It is interesting to have interactive sessions with young people. I always love to listen to their ideas, helping them develop their skills, imparting the knowledge I have acquired.
I have experience in working with kids from various age groups from different backgrounds. Teaching culturally diverse group of kids has taught me the importance of multiculturalism in the modern world. I make my lessons interesting by taking examples from my own experiences.
I always preplan my lessons so that learning will be an interesting activity for my students.
My teaching style
I prefer discussions as my teaching style because it gives the opportunity to interact with the students. I use diagrams, pictures, videos and other study materials to make my lessons effective. Teaching and learning is always interactive during my lessons.
My past experience
I started my teaching career in 2001 and I have been teaching since then.
My Proudest Achievements
Most of the capable students get A grades and A* for the exam. However, my proudest achievement is when the students who are struggling in ordinary lessons, get through the exams with A grades.
