About Me

Biomedical Science bachelors graduate with a First Class Honours and currently doing a degree in Graduate Entry Medicine at the University of Nottingham.

I have been through the medicine application process a couple of times so i know the intricacies of the process. I received 4/4 offers so i can help to improve personal statements with what medical schools want to hear and how to prepare for medical school interviews. I have done both MMI and panel interviews and received offers after those interviews so I am happy to help with prep and provide opportunities to practice mock interviews with me with feedback provided.

I also received a score of 2960 + SJT Band 1 in the UCAT so I can assist with any questions about the UCAT and will provide tips and tricks to improve your speed and accuracy with the questions!!

I am really friendly, outgoing and always willing to help and will always strive to put my 110% in each session. I’ll try my absolute hardest to answer all questions so you always feel satisfied at the end of any session so please don’t hesitate to ask me anything.

My teaching style

My teaching style is very student centered and adaptive. I focus on building confidence and prioritise critical thinking in my students. I change my approach to meet the needs of the students I tutor, recognising everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.

To begin, I will ask the student what their goals for each session are, making a rough timeline so we have a goal we can work to collectively. I prioritise active learning , allowing a safe environment for students to make mistakes and learn from them , doing mock interviews, practice questions and reflective exercises which are skills that are vital in medicine.

At the end of the sessions I will ask what the student enjoyed and what they would like to be adapted for the next session so the sessions are student focused and are tailored to their individual learning style.

My Proudest Achievements

One of my proudest achievements is having multiple academic papers published, which reflects my ability to engage with complex topics and present ideas in a clear, structured, and evidence-based manner. This experience has tailored my analytical and communication skills, both of which are critical in guiding students through the challenging scenarios they will face during medical school interviews.

Another of my proudest achievements is competing in badminton at a professional level. This experience has taught me invaluable skills that I can bring to my role as a medicine interview tutor.
Playing badminton professionally requires discipline, dedication, and a commitment to continuous improvement. I understand the importance of setting clear goals, creating effective strategies to achieve them, and persevering through challenges. These principles align closely with the preparation required for medical school interviews.
