About Me
Having graduated last year from the Bartlett School of Architecture with a First Class Honours degree, I am currently working in architectural practice and will be beginning my Master’s in Architecture at Cambridge University this year. I am extremely passionate about the pursuit of architecture at higher education level and strive to support students in achieving their goals.
I have been tutoring for 3 years and have supported a number of students in their applications to top architecture courses with great success. I specialise in helping individuals develop and refine their portfolios through practical advice on technique, content and format. I also encourage students in the articulation of their ideas in both graphic and verbal form.
Due to my recent experiences as a student, I am able to offer advice and support that is relevant and up to date with recent admissions processes. As someone who dreamed of studying architecture but found the application process arduous and complex, I revel in being able to guide intelligent and creative young people through this challenging journey!
My teaching style
My teaching style focuses on assessing and developing the clarity, complexity and communication of the design portfolio, which is the key component of any application to study architecture at university. I also provide support with interview preparation and personal statements.
My past experience
I have tutored for the last 3 years, helping student’s applying to study architecture with their portfolios and their drawing skills.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements is helping a student who was applying for architecture at the Bartlett but who had not studied Art at A Level. It was extremely rewarding to watch him develop his drawing skills and portfolio from scratch and go on to receive an offer!
