About Me
I am an MSc Psychology graduate with a BPS-accredited qualification and extensive experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. I bring strong interpersonal, research, and analytical skills, combined with a passion for mental health advocacy and enhancing student well-being through individualized support and inclusive learning environments. My goal is to apply my knowledge to foster positive outcomes for diverse learning needs while advancing my professional development in mental health and community care.
My teaching style
My teaching style focuses on creating a positive and inclusive environment that promotes engagement and confidence among students with SEND and SEMH challenges. I adapt lessons to individual needs through one-on-one or small group support, ensuring tailored academic and emotional assistance. I emphasize behavior management strategies aligned with best practices and collaborate closely with educators and support staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions, fostering holistic development and participation.
My Proudest Achievements
I take pride in successfully collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to increase student achievement and participation through targeted academic and emotional support. My role as a SEN Teaching Assistant has allowed me to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys by personalizing learning strategies and contributing to a nurturing classroom atmosphere. Additionally, my dissertation on the effects of AI on cognitive offloading demonstrated my ability to conduct rigorous research with practical implications for educational psychology.
